Dr. Rada Panich, ACVD Board-certified, Veterinary Dermatologist
A veterinary dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions and
diseases of the skin, hair, ear and nails. Specialty board organizations in human and veterinary medicine were
established following rapid advances in medical knowledge. In order to become board-certified the doctor must
complete a one-year internship, a two-year residency and a rigorous multi-day examination administered by the
American College of Veterinary Dermatology. While the general practitioner deals with most routine skin problems,
in certain cases, there is a need for the attention and skill of a specialist. |
